Black and White Processing and Printing

All conventional Black and White film is processed by hand using tanks and reels and processed for the manufacturer's specified times. Film types are not mixed, so each film type receives the correct amount of development. Black and white film is currently processed three times per week, so develop and print, and develop and contact orders, will take 2-3 days in house.

All Machine Done Prints are printed on Kodak's Royal Paper (silver paper). The Royal paper is the heaviest stock paper on the market, with an emulsion that gives more depth to your photos than other papers. This paper is as Archival as any color paper, or B&W RC paper, available (approx. 100 yrs.). Original 35mm rolls are normally printed in 4x6 format, but 3.5x5 size prints are available upon request. Original 120 square format rolls are printed 4x4, with 5x5 available by request, and all other 120 film formats are printed in 4x5, or 4x6 format (645, or 6x7 & 6x9,). Allow 1-2 days for reprints and enlargements to 12x18 machine prints. All print sizes are available with or without borders (border less is standard). Prints larger than 12x18 are Archival Ink Jet (86 yrs).

Contact sheets are now digital Jumbo Index prints, printed on Kodak Royal paper. Allow 1-2 days in house.

Like all enlargements, orders with very exacting requirements of density, contrast, or exacting dodging and burning, are considered Custom Prints and will incur the cropping fee, or PhotoShop
fees.
